Google’s brand-new Gemini CLI and Anthropic’s Claude Code promise to turn natural-language prompts into working Terraform plans. However, that is not all. Think of easily creating Kubernetes manifests, and even full CI/CD pipelines with a few simple natural language prompts.
After two weeks hammering both agents in a live homelab and a staging GKE cluster, I’m convinced each can erase hours of YAML-wrangling. However, they both have their strengths and weaknesses in the DevOps lifecycle. Let’s take a look at which one is best for what.
